We work alongside your existing healthcare team, whether that’s a midwife, obstetrician, family physician, or fertility clinic, to make sure your care is coordinated, evidence-informed, and never rushed.

Do I need a referral to see a practitioner for women's health concerns?
No referral is required. You can book directly for Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, or Registered Massage Therapy at The Root.
Is women's health care covered by insurance?
Many extended health insurance plans include coverage for Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, and Registered Massage Therapy. Coverage varies by plan and by which practitioner you see, so we recommend confirming your individual benefits with your insurance provider.
I'm not sure which service is right for me. Where should I start?
If you’re not sure where to start, book with one of our Naturopathic Doctors. They can help you understand your health as a whole and connect you with the right service, whether that’s fertility support, pregnancy and postpartum care, perimenopause care, or a combination of acupuncture and massage therapy along the way.
Can I see the same practitioner across different life stages?
Often, yes. Several of our Naturopathic Doctors support patients across fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause, so your care can continue with a provider who already knows your history as your needs change.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes. Our Naturopathic Doctors offer secure virtual appointments to patients throughout Ontario. Acupuncture and massage therapy are currently offered in person only, at our Port Credit clinic.
